Loyal and Protective Nature: American Staffordshire Terriers, also known as AmStaffs or Staffies, are renowned for their loyalty and protective instincts. With their strong bond to their owners, they make excellent watchdogs and are always eager to protect their loved ones. While on an RV trip, having a dog like the American Staffordshire Terrier provides a sense of security, as they will alert you to any potential dangers and ensure a safe environment wherever you go. We love this about Moto, he is very good at alerting us but not to much as to be annoying. Good boy Moto.

Moto is super easy to train, so much so we ran out of things to teach him.

Moto loves to run with my eBike and does so strapped to it with a 6’ leash. People say I’m crazy and this will end in a crash but 80 plus miles in all good, zero crashes. Moto seems to know the consistences of the process and is very attentive.  

Great with Families: American Staffordshire Terriers are known for their love of people, including children. They are affectionate, gentle, and patient, making them an excellent choice for families. While this is generally true Moto seems to not like little kids he does not know, loud small dogs or really anything small and loud ha ha ha.  These dogs are known to create lasting bonds with their human family members, and Moto is 100% part of the family, every conversation, everything… he even watches TV with us and seems to like some subjects.

American Staffordshire Terriers, when properly socialized, are friendly and sociable with both humans and other animals. This allows for pleasant interactions during your travels and offers a chance for your dog to make new friends. Moto was raised during Covid and as such was really locked up with us for the first two years of this life. He is expanding his love for people he does not know and takes to adults who know dogs well. He is very good at reading people. You walk up like you know and love dogs and he is 100% cool with you. You walk up all weird and giving off a “I don't like dogs” vib and he is leery of you. You set the ton with Moto.

For a larger breed this dog really has no issues integrating into our 30’ RV and is almost never in the way and smart enough to help out. He is hilarious when it is bed time and he knows the process and helps us build his bed for the nigh by moving to the right spots during the process.
